Woke up. Felt weird. Went to get coffee.
This game was made in Toronto during the COVID-19 pandemic, while I was in the process of being illegally evicted from my rental unit of 10+ years. The animation is loosely inspired by old NFB animated shorts I watched growing up, like those of Richard Condie (The Big Snit, The Cat Came Back); really just an excuse to make a game with fun hand-drawn characters.
Made with GameMaker Studio. Supported with funding from the Ontario Arts Council.
CONTROLS

The city was colorful and the sprites of moving people were very interesting!
I especially like the elevated view of the city and the dog run where the dogs are all crowded together.
I am sad that the coffee has gone cold, but I hope it gets better.
Art style is hypnotic, trippy, and awesome. Love the bright colors and dream-like environment!
P.S. Sorry to hear about your illegal eviction, hope you're doing better now!
so weird
